Just Published Today: Dead Witch on a Bridge (Sonoma Witches #1)

If you’re finding the real world is too surreal to be real… dive into a fictional universe full of enjoyable craziness: witches, magic, gnomes, demons, murder. Yes, compared to the real word, demons and murder are fun.

Is her magic strong enough to stop a killer?

On her first assignment as a demon-hunting witch, Alma was unable to kill. Now broke and unemployed at twenty-six, she lives in Silverpool, a remote town in a redwood forest north of San Francisco, where she sells magic-infused jewelry and tries to live a drama-free life.

When fairies draw her to the dead body of her ex-boyfriend, she must defend herself and the hidden power in Silverpool from an influx of supernatural trouble. The only way to make peace—and stay alive—is to find the killer.

Drawing upon years of formal magical training she’d rather forget, and using other abilities she’d like to keep secret, Alma goes up against bloodthirsty fae, a dangerously charming demon, her infamous father, and other ambitious witches with agendas of their own.

This time, an inability to kill might be not just the end of her job, but of her life…

DEAD WITCH ON A BRIDGE is a paranormal mystery set in the redwoods of the Northern California coast, the first in the SONOMA WITCH series. I’ve been in my writing cave, building this world for the past year (and feeling superstitious, appropriately enough, about going public with what I was working on.)

Book 1 (Dead Witch on a Bridge) is totally done and will soon be available for preorder, and I’ve already begun Book 2 (title TBA.)

I apologize sincerely for going AWOL on social media. It’s been a challenging year in so many ways, and I didn’t want to promise something before it was a sure thing. But now it is DONE DONE DONE and I’m thrilled to finally share it. It’s obviously a new direction for me as a writer–mystery, urban fantasy–but not as a reader. I hope those of you who’ve enjoyed my romantic comedies will try out my new work.

I can’t wait to share this book with you!

Going Wild (Oakland Hills #6) – Just Released!

Oakland Hills #6

Accountant Jane has a mortgage to pay, so she reluctantly allows free-spirited writer Grant to rent a room in her house. The sizzling chemistry is undeniable… but will their differences keep them apart?

All work and no play…

Jane Garcia’s life is going according to plan: she’s dumped the cheating ex, moved into a beautiful house overlooking the San Francisco Bay, and expects to move up at her accounting firm. But when financial trouble strikes, she’s forced to rent a room to Grant Whitman, a scruffy writer with a full beard who knits his own hats.

No man is an island…

Grant Whitman has spent countless weeks alone in the wilderness researching his best-selling books. But after he meets Jane, he knows solitude isn’t going cut it anymore. She’s smart, strong, sexy… and the chemistry between them could roast marshmallows. The problem? A guy like Grant just doesn’t fit into Jane’s plans.

Fools rush in…

As they grow closer, Jane isn’t sure she can continue to resist Grant—or even wants to. Soon all her careful plans begin to unravel like a badly knitted hat. And then, to his surprise, so do Grant’s.

But can their wild fling outlast the summer?
